Collate Features |
|
Features:
- Printing Features
- Send your documents to a connected printer or network printer
- Use the included Collate PDF Printer to send a 'PDF print' from another program (such as Microsoft Word) directly into Collate, ready to be organized with your other documents.
- Scan new pages and documents
- Create new documents or add new pages to existing ones with your scanner.
- Use any scanner with a TWAIN or WIA driver.
- Batch Processing Functions
Collate has automatic batch functions that will process multiple documents in one motion:
- Automatically remove
pages from a PDF document, or automatically insert or append pages to a PDF or Tiff
file.
- Convert multiple Tiff
or PDF files to either a PDF or Tiff file with Collates batch convert options.
- Merge multiple PDF
or Tiff files together with several different merge options available with Collate's
batch merge option.
- Multi-threaded image processing for quicker load times
- Collate now supports background image processing to enable the user to continue
the steady workflow while Collate handles generating images in the background.
- Save or open encrypted PDF files with ease
- Using the latest in PDF encryption technology Collate can now save or open 128 bit
encrypted PDF files. This is useful for securing a newly created PDF file with restrictions
to keep the information within confidential. Such restrictions could range from
denying printing ability for the PDF document to disabling other software programs
ability to edit the contents at a later date.
- Update older PDF documents to the latest Adobe 8.x version with Collates versioning
support
- Collate offers the ability to save documents from older versions such as Adobe 4.x,
5.x, or 6.x to the latest Adobe 8.x format using the Collates added options.
- Create your own photo album of compressed pictures in a single
file.
- Using Collate any user can take a folder containing upwards of a hundred family
photos and with just a simple drag and drop of the mouse turn those photos into
a multiple page PDF or Tiff family photo album file. With the small file size of
a compressed PDF file the user can easily send family photos through any email software
to friends and family with ease.
- Convert TIFF, JPG, BMP, etc. to PDF or convert PDF, JPG,
BMP, etc. to TIFF.
- Using the latest versioning technology available Collate can easily convert any
number of supported images into either a multiple page PDF or Tiff file. This is
in addition to the ability to add, remove, or merge Tiff files into PDF or PDF into
Tiff.
- Edit PDF files, without losing searchable text.
- PDF files that contain existing searchable text will automatically have this text
added to any newly created PDF files. Not only is the user able to save existing
searchable text but by using Collate Page Editor searchable text may also be added
into a newly created file. This is limited to only PDF as Tiff files will be unable
to store this additional information due to its pure image format.
- Perform automatic document merging with Collate's new batch
merge tool
- Collate now includes the ability to merge two documents seamlessly together without
any user interaction. Simply choose the destination file that will be used as the
starting point then choose the second document to be used to merge the files together.
The pages from the second document will then be merged into the destination file
based on the user s preferences.
- Automatically remove pages from a PDF or Tiff file
- Among the new tools added to Collate is the ability to automatically remove unwanted
pages from a file. This option quickly skims through the selected document removing
pages without any user interaction based on the options selected by the user.
- Import or Export pages from a PDF or Tiff file
- The last but not least functional tools added to Collate are the new automatic import
and export options that allow a user to append or insert new pages into a document
or export the pages from a document into a new file. This comes in incredibly handy
when the user does not want to manually add the pages into the existing document
using Collates main features. With the automatic batch tools this job is completed
without any added user interaction.
- Select a custom view of anywhere from 96x96 pixels to a half
the users visible screen area.
- Collate allows the user to view image pages at a user defined resolution. The user
has the option from 96x96 to 484x484, or the user could select any one of the dynamic
image view sizes. These dynamic sizes can display the pages at a multitude of sizes
based off the size of the Collate dialog. The user could select the 1 over 1 option
that displays two files in the viewing area that are placed one over the other that
sizes change based off the current viewing areas size.
- Add customized notes, graphic, and pictures to text files
- In addition to being able to manipulate PDF or Tiff files through Collates main
interface Collate also includes a graphics-editing program called Collate Page Editor.
By using Collate Page Editor any page from either a file to be created or from an
existing document can be edited. You may add images, text, captions, or even skillfully
edit the text of the document using Collate Page Editor and as easy as it was to
add these extra elements you can save them to the file.
- Collates core ability to move, add, or rearrange PDF or Tiff pages
- The main purpose of Collates existence is to give the user the ability to make changes
to existing PDF or Tiff files. This may be from creating PDF or Tiff pages from
image files laying around on the system to convert 50 individual files into one
multiple page file. This is especially useful for combining custom invoices together
for an individual customer for easier reference. Collate was also designed to allow
users to open existing documents in order to add pages that they forgot to add during
the files initial creation. It was also made to allow the user to remove pages,
edit individual pages, and then save changes to the file with ease.
