source folder?
To open a source folder you must first browse for the folder. Click FILE→Browse
source folder... which will display the following window:

Follow the directory tree expanding it as needed to display the folder you wish
to have opened. Then select the folder you wish to open and click OK. This will
open the source folder in the source area and displays its contents.

- How do I open a target file?
To open a target file for editing purposes click FILE→Open target file...
An open file dialog will then appear, you should then select the file to be opened:

This will open a file and populate the target file area with the pages from the
PDF or TIFF. You can then edit the contents of the file either adding, inserting,
moving, or editing the individual pages.

- How do I add a page to my TIFF or PDF?
After opening a source folder so that there is a list of files to choose from. Simply
select a file that you wish to copy to the target area, or double click the file
to open it, then pick and choose individual pages to add to the target file. With
the file/pages selected simply click the "Add page to target" button.

- How do I insert a page to my TIFF or PDF?
With the source folder open to a folder containing supported files, remember the
target file must contain at least one or more pages. To insert a file/pages simply
select what pages should be inserted into the target area. Then decide which page
in the target area that the selected file/pages should be inserted next too. Then
by clicking either the "Insert before selected page" or "Insert after selected page"
buttons, the file/pages that are selected from the source folder will be inserted
either before or after the selected page from the target area.

- How do I move pages in my TIFF or PDF?
In order to use the move buttons the target file needs to be populated with at least
a few pages. A quick way to do this is to open a target file with an existing PDF
or TIFF file. When the target file area finishes populating with pages click either
on one page or a group of pages from the target area. This will enable the movement
tools, which allow you to either move the page(s) to the very top of the target
area, the very end, move the page(s) up one, or down one in the listing.
- How do I delete pages from my TIFF or PDF?
In order to delete a page there must be pages to be deleted in the target file area.
The delete tool only applys to the target area, you can not delete a page or file
from the source folder. In order to delete a page simply select the page(s) you
wish to delete and click the "Delete pages" button. This will prompt to see if you
are sure that you want
to delete the pages, upon clicking yes the page(s) will be
cleared from the target area.

- How do I save my TIFF of PDF?
There are two ways to save files that have been either created or modified in the
target area. These options are the "Save the target file" and "Save target file
as new file". The "Save the target file" option either saves the changes made to
existing files, or if the file has not been saved previously saves the target area
as a new file. The "Save target file as new file" option lets the user open a file
in the target area, make modifications to it, and then save the file as a new file
leaving the orginal file untouched.

- How do I edit my TIFF or PDF?
Collate includes a peice of software called Collate Page Editor, this program allows you to make modifications to the pages in the target area. To edit a page with the
Collate Page Editor just add a page or several pages to the target area, select
one page that you wish to edit, and click the "Edit Pages" button. You can also
simply double click the page you wish to edit and Collate will automatically open
the page within the page editor.
