Scanning Single Pages
To scan a single page into the Target files list, you first must have an functional scanner with a working/compatible TWAIN or WIA driver.

Click "Scan new page" from the File menu or click the Scan Button (picture of scanner) from the central control bar on the main user interface. You will see a "Scan New Page" dialog shown below:

Scan Dialog

If you need to select your scanner, click "More Settings." Open the Scan tab as shown below.

Scan Tab

Click "Select Source" to select the driver for the scanner you wish you use. Click "Select", then click OK again to exit the setup. Your scanner settings will be remembered for next time.

Select your color mode and file type preferences and press Scan. Your newly scanned page will be placed in in the Target list. If you have any pages selected on the Target side, your new page will be placed before the first selected page. If you have no documents selected, it will be placed at the end of the list.

NOTE: There are many options under the Setup menu for you to configure your scan the way you need it, but some options will not affect Collate, such as options under the Database, Email, Application, and FTP tabs. Although you can change the settings, these options do not apply to Collate, thus they will not affect your scans.
