Merging Files
As occasions will arise where there exists two files that were created in such as way that one file is an extension of another or contains a collated version of the first document. For this reason Collate now includes a batch merge option that allows the user to automatically append an outside document be it Tiff or PDF to another document. To do this simply select your destination file that should acquire these new pages and a source document that contains the pages you wish to have added to the destination document.
After this is completed just choose the starting point or page of the document to receive the new pages, and make your choice between merging every other page or a grouping of pages from the document containing the pages you wish to add. Once you click the OK button Collate will automatically add the new pages into the destination file without any further user interaction.
Force Document Color Conversion To: By enabling this option all newly created PDF and Tiff files will be altered from their current image format to abide by the color setting selected in the drop down box. The available color modes are Color (24 bit), Gray Scale (8 bit), and Black & White (1 bit). If this option is not set then Collate will use the default image or PDF page as it is without conversion. Please note that when converting from one format to another there may be loss of clarity of the initial document.

Convert Files
The batch convert files feature allows the user to select one of more PDF or Tiff files then select to have these files automatically converted from one format to another. In this case a user may select one or more PDF files in order to convert them all to Tiff files. The feature will then process each PDF file and create a new Tiff file with the exact same file name as the original file in the same location. This operation will operate the same way for either Tiff or PDF files.

Importing file pages/images
For whatever purpose the user may need to add documents together Collate now has a batch import feature that allows the user to automatically append pages from one document to another. Collate provides three basic all purpose options to meet the users needs.
First is the ability to insert the pages from one document into the front of the pages of the destination file. The user can likewise append the pages from the source document into the very end of the destination file. Or should the user need to the user can select a starting point or page to insert the pages from the source document in-between pages of the destination file.

Exporting file pages/images
If there exists a PDF or Tiff file with a tremendous number of pages so that the file size of the document becomes extremely weighted the user can now export pages from this document into a new file to extract just the needed pages. This may be useful for a PDF that contains 1000 individual user invoices, where this feature allows each of these pages to be extracted into their own individual files.
There are several options available as the first mentioned above is in regards to extracting each page from the PDF or Tiff into their own individual files. There is also the ability to export only the odd or even pages from a document. The last but not least useful option is the ability to just export a specific range of pages from the source document.

Removing pages
Collates batch removal option allows the user to selectively remove pages from a PDF or Tiff file without the need to search and sort through the document by hand. This is very helpful when dealing with a document where there are known pages that need to be removed quickly and efficiently.
