Art-Copy’s Page tab enables users to scan frame positions and select predefined document sizes. All subsequent jobs scan in the same scan area as what Art-Copy has been enabled to scan. Simply choose the size that best fits your scanner or if a custom size is desired simply enter in any custom size that is within the limitations set by your scanner.

Auto Crop Tolerance (0 – 255):

Select this value to adjust the accuracy of Auto Cropping. The result of the automatic cropping may be affected by the cleanliness of the scanner glass and the background pad. By setting this value to a greater setting, Art-Copy ignores dirty pixels on the scanner glass and crops the image correctly. If you set the value greater than appropriate, part of your image may be cropped. Finding the appropriate value is the key to cropping the image correctly.

Scanner has a black background:

Several scanner manufacturers have created scanners that capture the image from the scanner bed by imposing a black background behind the image. Most typical scanner software programs will see this black background as part of the image and will actually process the image according to this assumption resulting in sporadic results. Art-Copy now has the ability to distinguish the difference between the imposed black background, and the actual image by selecting the “Scanner has a black background”. This will allow Art-Copy to capture the image and remove the imposed background allowing our software to perform image corrections without the after effects of this black background calculated into the image processing.
