[Return to Contents]

Art-Copy lets you save a scanned image/document to a database by selecting the output drop down and selecting Database:

NOTE: These are instructional steps detailing how to setup databases to handle transferred images. These steps may not work for every situation.

1.) Select either Scanner or File from the source of image drop down.

2.) Place the document face down on the scanner bed in the bottom, right corner.

3.) Change the Output drop down list to Database.

4.) Click on the More Settings from the main interface.

5.) Click on the Database tab from the window that appears which will bring up the following window

6.) Enter all required database information. You need to specify the database, the table, and the column name of where you want to write the image too; you will also need to specify the datatype that you want to use, if you want to include a description, and if you want to write it to an existing record by suppling the primary key.

7.) Click either the Test Scripts button, or save the script to be run at a later time
