Chapter 6: Scan and E-mail

To send an e-mail with an attached scanned image:

  1. Set up your e-mail server with Art-Copy in the Setup dialog box.

  2. Create or import e-mail address book. (Optional)

  3. Place your document on the scanner bed in the bottom, right corner.

  4. Click the E-mail button.

  5. Art-Copy scans the image and either launches the Art-Copy E-mail Manager or your default e-mail client, depending on the e-mail client you have chosen.

  6. If you have chosen the Art-Copy E-mail Client, Art-Copy’s E-mail Manager appears:

    Make sure you enter correct information in all fields, especially From:, SMTP Host:, and To:.

  7. To preview your scanned image before you send it, click the Edit button. The Art-Copy default image editor is launched. Save your changes when you close the image editor.

  8. If you are satisfied with the image, you can send it to the recipient by clicking the Send button. A screen is shown, just to let you know that the email is being sent.

  9. If you have chosen the Default E-mail Client your default e-mail client appears. The scanned image appears in the attachment area. Your e-mail client may let you preview or modify the image. Not all e-mail clients can be launched by Art-Copy.
