You can scan an image and send it to an application automatically. The Application tab lets you choose and configure an application in your local system for this job.
There is two list boxes: Application list and File type list.
- Application list:
- Contains all the applications you may want to send use. The first time you launch Art-Copy, this list will be filled automatically with most of the applications found in your local system. You may want to delete many of them by selecting them, and then clicking Delete. You may also add new applications to this list by clicking Add New….
You can set an application as the default image application or as the default text application. Not all applications will accept image files or text files. Make sure you select an application that will accept the type of files you wish to send. To choose the default application, select the application in the list, and then click either the Image or Text (OCR) button. Default Image Application (Single Picture), Default Image Application (Multiple Pictures), or Default Text Application (OCR) text appears next to the application. Remove the default setting by repeating the above steps.
File type list:
- Contains all the file types supported by the currently selected application. Since some applications only accept image files or text files, you should make sure you add the correct file type if one is not displayed. Sending an application an incorrect file type may cause problems with the application.
You can indicate a type as the default type. First, select the type in the list, and then click Set as default.
- Always send to default application:
- After you select an application as the default image or text application and set the default file type, you can speed up the Scan to Application operation without selecting an application again.
