When the application is selected the supported file type area will populate with the supported formats already assigned to the program. If you know that the application should be able to handle say a Tiff file, but the format is not shown. Click the “Add new” file type button. This will display a list of Art-Copy supported files that you can assign to the specified application. Art-Copy will see these formats, but just because Art-Copy is programmed to send the specified file format to the application that the application will support the file type.
Always Send to Default Application Option
If you want to assign a program to automatically accept the “Scan to application” button function so that you will not need to specify what program to send the created files to each time. Set the default application by scrolling the listing of applications, select the program you wish to use, and select either the default application setting “Image (Single Page)”, “Image (Multiple Page)”, or “Text (OCR)” (Enterprise Only). Once you’ve decided what the default application type will be you simply need to click the “Always send to default application” button located on the bottom of the Application tab. If you do not select the “Always send to default application” option you will be prompted with the dialog window below upon each use of the “Scan to Application” button from the main interface.
